Island/NYC Emergency Management Conference The 2010 Long Island/New York City Emergency Management Conference, the 17th annual such event, is titled “Emergency Management 2010: Meeting the Challenge.” The Conference topics and presentations will examine all types of emergency management situations from man-made to natural disasters and address the response by local and national first responders. At this year’s conference, we will hear from first responders involved in managing all types of emergency management situations, including the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the terrorist attacks in Mumbai and, closer to home, the deadly DC Metro train disaster. Our presenters will also address cyber security, weather events, and hospital emergency management issues. These discussions will help attendees anyone in business or the emergency management community who deals with unforeseen events meet the challenge of emergency management situations. This conference will be a “must go to” event for individuals in business or the emergency management community who deal with unforeseen events.
