The 2008 Long Island/New York City Emergency Management Conference, the 15th annual such event, is titled, “No Man is an Island: Disaster Survival Through Regional Support.” The Conference topics and presentations will focus awareness on the fact that without support from other regional agencies, the management of a disaster is virtually impossible. Crisis, be it man-made or by an “Act of God,” collaboration and communication of ideas and solutions has strengthened the professional bonds of emergency managers throughout the nation.

At this year’s conference, we will seize the opportunity to explore a wide range of topics, including coping with natural disasters, bridge and infrastructure destruction, campus school safety as well as other topical “OEM” issues. This conference will be a “must” go-to event for anyone in business or the emergency management community who deals with unforeseen events.

When: Wednesday May 28, 2008 & Thursday May 29, 2008
Where: Hilton Long Island, 598 Broad Hollow Road, Melville, NY
